found out in the end, just put MovieClip(parent).imageone/two etc
instead of simply parent.imageonewhatever.

nathan I did a tut at layers magazine on a flash gallery and it doesnt work. rather than an array they have ambiguous else statements and I cant get the thing to work at all.
I dont want transitions or anything fancy just a button based photo changer for a website. if you could point to an effective tut or something anything so I can move on with the live example of this template.

photosMC.play(); could’ve been placed on the next button and done the same thing with less code =P.. great tutorial for beginners, though if you wanted to add photos in the future lets say 5 more you would not code it that way..

Thank you, I’ve learned so much from your tutorials !!! Any hints on how to use the arrow buttons to show a new group of thumbs instead of clicking to the next thumb (like this tutorial demonstraits)?? I tried making a thumbMC, but now when you click the thumb it changes the group, but you can’t drive the individual thumbs to select a pict??
