Mid-range cameras, that is
Im intersted to see how photos compare, and know more about the potential of my own cam
I got a Canon 400D
Go to www.cameralabs.com , they do reviews on cameras and often have galleries of images on low and high iso settings.
Just worry about the pictures you take, no the "potential" your camera has. The 400d is a fine camera.

I live in NYC and I have a series of digital images at 300dpi and I would like to get high quality professional prints to present in a gallery show, but I have no experience with photo printing. Any ideas for printing services or presentation recommendations?
dpi means absolutely nothing about photo quality or fitness to print at large sizes. I can set a 30×40 pixel photo to 300 dpi…
For gallery prints you will need at least 3000 x 2400 pixels, and more is definitely better. And you will need to have them professionally printed. Be sure to talk to the gallery first, many won’t accept prints unless they were in on the printing process.
If you already have a gallery working with you they likely have a print service company they prefer. And they will dictate the matting and framing they require.
If you don’t have a gallery yet, call a few and ask which print companies they use. They will be glad to recommend the ones they think are best.
I am searching a gallery where the copyright issues would be taken care of well: it would be impossible for people to download my pics (I´m not sure, but I may have seen some place, where downloaded pics appeared as "white" in my computer), or downloading / saving would be as difficult as possible. Besides marking my pics and uploading them as small, I´m wondering if it exists any place like that…
What about Picasa or Panoramio?
No matter how much any place disables right clicking and downloading, people can still take screen shots and the real hackers know other ways, too.
The only way to protect yourself is by uploading low res, small images that wouldn’t make a decent print at anything but a very tiny size.
Great big watermarks that are placed so they are hard to clone out are ugly, but work, too.

Ok I am trying to put an add on Craigslist… I took pictures with my camera and put it on my computer with the SD card… Now when I upload the pictures onto the craigslist ad creator it says my images are too big and need to be resized. Does anyone know how to do this through windows picture gallery? Please give specific directions.. I don’t know what I am doing lol. Also, just a note I have Windows Vista.
Thank you!
Hi MrsSchmidty,
The easiest thing is to use Paint to resize the picture (for most Windows users). When you’re looking at the picture in preview mode, right click and select the “open with” from the menu and select “Paint” from the resulting slide-out menu.
From there, the picture will open up in Paint. Click the “Image” button in the header and select “Resize/skew” from the drop-down list. From there, you can simply change the percentages to make your image smaller. Be sure you save.
Cheers,
Ron
